And sorry for all the posts I can only seem to post one pic at a time!!
@shellbell181 glad you were finally able to post your cake. It is super cute & I really like how you did the texture for the 5 and the name plate. It is annoying but I find the only way posting to the forum works for me is text, then images & yes, one image at a time. I forgot to mention that earlier. Every now & then I can fluke it & post a small amount of text with an image.
Came back in this morning and WOW! I'm seeing photos I didn't see before. I can't quote back but the black and white wedding cake! Wow! And those orchids!!!! For a minute I thought "Why is she showing us flowers? Maybe asking how to make them?" then I realized they were sugar!
Adore the little giraffe!! SO sweet!
As for the images...Oy Vey! Not sure what is going on but I really appreciate you all trying and trying and trying!
All the cakes are gorgeous!! that giraffe cake makes me wish my son was 5 again :) thanks for the kind comments ...I take great pride in my flower work.......here is a practice pic....wanted to see how the flower choices would look together[postimage id="3538" thumb="900"]
Hi, I'm in need of some advice for a wedding cake I'm doing for a friend. I'll try to attach the photo of the cake she's asked for.
I'm ok with it all, except how to do the ribbons that go down the sides - they seem to over lap the tiers, which would mean that I should attach them after the cake is stacked. But she is wanting a four tier cake and it would be way too heavy for me to carry completed, plus I know the car park of the venue is full of pot holes that would put me in fear of the safety of the structure.
I could stack and then decorate, but I've done another cake at the venue and it's not the best place for doing that kind of thing at all. Any suggestions? Thanks!
