I've painted fondant using vodka and gel colors, vodka and color dusts, and vodka and liquid coloring--always comes out just fine except it's always shiny. I really need to know how to paint with a matte finish, in other words so the paint ends up dull, not shiny.

Does anyone have any ideas please??

Blossom dusts mixed with lemon extract give a matte finish.
