I am practicing for a wedding in the next few months.....I have never done Phalenopsis but have done others like dendrobiums and catalaya...

The tutorials I have found have individually wired petals but my cutters are PME cutters with the 3 sepals as one cutter:

I have been using a technique where I adhere the sepals and 2 petals together and dry them ....using pieces of foam to give the petals life  then wiring the column and threading it and leaving to dry......they look ok but I find the orchid a bit ungainly on the wire and fear that it will not hold.......any advice as to what I can do......here is a pic of what I have done thus far...

Thanks for the assistance :)

I heard that Peggy Porchen has a technique that uses cutters similar to mine....has anyone used that technique and can give advice?

I think you have done a great job well done.

I have the same cutter set but I still wire all the petals individually as I personally prefer it. I cut out with the 3 sepal cutter and then just cut those into 3 individual petals with a knife following the lines of the curve.
