Hi everyone,

I am making this wedding cake in a few weeks and my only question is about the Gold accent it has, is that an actual tier or is it a dummy? Has anyone done something similar to this that can help me? How would be the best was to do this, thank you in advance I hope someone can help me out [postimage id="3082" thumb="900"]

I would say that is a dummy spacer - in other words, styrofoam.

Honestly it looks to me like a ribbon around a taller tier.

leah you might be right.  didn't see it that way at 1st but it's a possibility.  A sequined/sparkly ribbon

Now that I look at it that way, it makes sense. Maybe a taller tier with some kind of sparkly ribbon, easier to make too lol. Thank you everyone for your help.
