Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to cover a 3D shape of the yellow hat (the cone top part of it) in fondant where it would look smooth, it would be about 10in. + high?? Im not sure about the approach to do this, any help/tutorials would be greatly apprecited.

To do irregular shapes like that you have to start at the top and smooth it down the sides very carefully. There't no magic formula, it just takes patience. You could do it in sections if there are seams on the hat, but if there's just one big piece with no seams then it's just the process of taking it slowly.
