How To Keep A 50/50 Mix White?

So I made my first double barrel cake using 50% fondant and 50% modeling chocolate.  It came out well, but the mix after fully incorporated with each other wasn't white like the original fondant, but a more ivory color.  Is there a way to keep that white?  I've seen white double barrel cakes online.
