Hi, I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me figure out how to make a floral wreath, like the picture below.  The below picture is done by Caking it Up

Looks like gum paste flowers attached to a wire ring.

I would wrap the wire ring in floral tape (white). 

Where the wreath touches the cake, the top of the wreath and the bottom of the wreath, wrap 2 pieces of wire onto the wire ring. One at the top, one at the bottom.

These I would stick into the cake. Of course these wires go  inside coffee stirrers/straws that are pushed inside the cake. I would not be comfortable just leaning it on the cake. 

The flowers would be wrapped individually onto the wire circle.

I would attach the wires that are going to be supporting the wreath in the cake first, then add the flowers. Less chance of the flowers breaking , you want those wires to be secure, since that's how the wreath will be attached to the cake. Gum paste flowers can be heavy.


That's just my take on it........if anything is not clear please let me know.
