Hi everyone! No cakes this week. I'm going to make a little heart shaped one for Valentine's evening but that's it. I have a wedding cake coming up on the 27th as well as an Oscar "Mars" cake coming up on the 28th. So lots in the future but not this week. Looking forward to seeing what you all have come up with for Valentines!

I've been watching @SweetShop5 on Instagram this week so I hope she shares some of those photos here too!

Hey everyone!

It's been such a hectic week for me! This week all our orders were done by me, so I was insanely busy! I've finished a few of my orders and will continue the rest after my bake sale today. 

Here are some Valentine's Day cookies for a client, she asked to have them boxed and it looks so good!

I'm also doing a bake sale this morning, so I had to bake many things! Here are some of them:

I also made a cake, cookies and chocolate covered Oreos for a clients boyfriend. It was my first time trying our new Oreo mold and it's amazing! I love how perfect and shiny they turn out.

Now I still have to go do 2 cakes and 2 cake pops orders, so I'll be posted those pictures later!

@catlharper ‍ haha! You've been keeping an eye on me I see!  Lots of work this week and I'm not done yet! Can't wait to see your wedding cake

Just typed up an entire post with pictures and it's not showing anything???  Not sure what happened but will maybe try again later as I'm heading out now for the day.

We were very busy this week with Valentine's Day orders!! Cookies cookies and some more cookies lol. We did a coconut cream pie and a Valentine's Day theme cake but the one I loved the most was the guitar cake. The amp says "gramps" bc last year on her birthday her grandpa passed away so my husband asked if we could tie in his name as a little tribute. We took this order on Wednesday so we had about 3 days to work on it. Looks like everyone had a great week  so much yumminess!! Those cookies look to good to eat @SweetShop5 ‍

Well, there certainly seems to be SOME problem going on with the site. Just in reading the posts and seeing the lettering all wonky! @kstevens ‍ I hope you can figure it out today!

@SweetShop5 ‍ yup..."shutterbugtraveler" follows you on IG and that's ME! LOL! As I said on there...love the cookies! SO cute! So what is this "oreo mold" that you are talking about? Is it to make covering oreos easier? They look like perfect hockey pucks!

Short shift today then the fun type of shopping for our Valentine's Dinner! The kids have 3 days off so the highlight of my weekend isn't not working for 3 days (I work 2 of the 3) but the sleeping in for 3 days!

Hi all,

I am very excited to be making my first post in the Friday night cake club, albeit Saturday! When I was pregnant with my first the baby forum I was apart of did a bump Friday, followed by a baby Friday when all the babies were born. I am thrilled to have found this site recently and now love looking at the Friday night cakes!

I have had a busy week this week with a Dr Who themed cake for a friend and birthday cakes for my partner and my daughter who's birthdays are both today. Dear daughter is 1 today and to top of an already incredible day I have had a positive pregnancy test this afternoon for our second!

My posts keep disappearing. I made a rugby ball cake for a relative. I rolled out the fondant on shortening instead of cornflour which worked really well. The letters and logo were cut out by hand.

This week I had to work on a cake making fondants shaped in the birthday girl's pet horse and pet dog! very challenging but pretty happy with the turn out. Hope everyone has a great valentine's day!

I love coming here and seeing the cakes everyone makes!  For all the beauty and clean work everyone had done I have to say @.eat.cake. ‍ that chocolates cake grabs my attention because it looks so crazy decadent!

I made these mocha macaron Valentine boxes as customer appreciation gifts.

I need to make some cupcakes for work, no cakes. I am think of doing a Paris themed cake with the Effiel tower on it for my birthday. I have a template but was wondering if it would work with candy melts. I think it was made out of royal icing.

I made box of chocolate cakes with homemade chocolates and mini cupcakes with the extra cake batter both pictured above.

More sugar flowers for me this week :-) 

Just for fun, I made a floral wreath with sugar apple blossom, roses, daisies and buds.  I usually make a cake to take for church lunch, so I made a chocolate and rose cake, covered with dark chocolate ganache, and set the flowers on top.

I couldn't find my fresh gumpaste so had to make the apple blossom out of some old gumpaste I had left over from a while back.  It worked ok, but was not very elastic and I couldn't get the ruffling on the blossom that I wanted.  I finally found the fresh batch and it was (unsurprisingly) so much nicer to work with!  A shame, but I wasn't going to go back and remake all the blossom...

I gave in to the peer pressure and made a birthday cake for our taekwondo coach lol. Thanks for the idea @catlharper! 

And I also made some "Toothless" cupcakes for my little one to take to school to celebrate his birthday. Couldn't be bothered to make 20 3D topper so only he got one hehehe. ...
