Hi this is my first post on the site (have been lurking for a while)

yesterday i I did a trial run of the wedding cake my uncle want.

well I'm using  "Claire bowman cake lace" and mat.  I have made this about 12 times with no problems at all

last night finished the cake (rolled icing covered) I attached the cake lace with a dab of water (as I normally do) put in the fridge over night  and when I looked this morning the lace had compleatly lost its shape and had started to sag of the cake.

I have no clue what I have done wrong and starting to panic.

Thanks

Liam

Hi, and well done for posting your first post!

Have you refrigerated it before?  I use this Cake Lace on dry fondant cakes but have not put them in the fridge and it works fine,  I'm wondering if too much moisture from the fridge has caused it to sag.
