Petals On Wedding Cake?

How do you do the petals on this wedding cake? Do you have to make them ahead of time & dry them or do you put the straight on the cake the day of? Any tutorials out there for this? Thanks!

They look like fondant petals I would put them on last with edible sugar glue but here's a video hope that helps

Yeah, you could do some of them ahead of time but they'd dry a slightly different color, so it's best to do them all at once.

That's a gorgeous cake!  I would put them on while they are still soft.  I think if you left them dry first you risk them not fitting right and breaking while trying to get them to fit.
