I'm making a wedding cake for a friend. She has 150 people going to the wedding. The sizes are 6,8,12,14 .. The 6" is 6"tall , the 8" is 8"tall, the 12 is 4"tall and the 14 is 4"tall- should I make the bottom tier 8"tall? I understand it being more servings and added support. I just want to make sure she has a nice impressive cake. The bottom tier will be gold and the top three tiers will have gold dots of different sizes wrapping their way down. Any suggestions are welcome. The cake isn't due till Sunday. All my tiers are filled and crumb coated just can't decide if I want to make the bottom one higher or not. Thanks

If you're having doubts, then I say go ahead and make it bigger.  Seems like your gut is telling you to ;)
