I'm baking a vegan bride both her shower cupcakes and wedding cake. Although she has not asked, I thought it might be nice to surprise her with her own vegan cupcake and somehow incorporate a vegan slice of wedding cake. The cake is all buttercream , 10"&12" rustic ruffle design. Can any point me to a vegan vanilla cake and cupcake recipe or ideas as to inserting a slice of vegan cake for the reception!

i don't have a recipe for you but for the inserting the slice, i would insert a quarter of the cake -- just be sure you mark it really really well so you can find it/show the staff where it's at later -
