Has anyone refrigerated hand-painted cakes with any success?

I usually paint with a mixture of gel + 100% proof alcohol.  I always successfully refrigerate my fondant cakes in a box overnight but have not attempted to do so with a painted one...

Any thoughts?

yes i have but i would just recommend to you to test it out -- everybody's fridge and circumstances are different so though i can that's no guarantee not that you don't already know that -- do your cakes have much condensation on them anyway? i tell yah the only real booboo like that i had was i did a family cake and used edible ink markers and stuck it in the freezer to give a nice jolt before delivery --- hahahaha bad idea -- took it out of the freezer and those markers ran like little bunnies --

so all that to say yes i can fridge my painted cakes successfully even the ones with markers but not from freezer to room temp
