does anyone know the best way to stick licorice together? I am trying to make a circle with licorice laces and can't get the licorice to hold the shape

Hmm, have you tried heating the ends a bit and seeing if they will stick as they cool?  If the circle is not moving, as in wrapped around a cake or something, candy melts might work, too.
