I am baking cupcakes and muffins for a shower tomorrow. My cupcake wrappers are a heavy paper wrapper (Wilton Waves). Usually, when I bake a day ahead, I use foil wrappers to keep the iced cupcake as fresh as possible. For this shower, however, I have the Wilton Waves cup. My plan is to bake and decorate them today. Does anyone know if these will still taste "fresh baked" for the mid-day event tomorrow?
I baked chocolate cupcakes yesterday, iced them with chocolate icing and stuck them in the refrigerator. (They are just for us). I took them out of the refrigerator this morning, to come to room temp (I don't like cold cupcakes) and they taste delicious. Oh, and I am not a chocolate fan.
Forgot to add, I used regular white liners from Smart n Final.
If you put them in plastic boxes they'll be fine. If you only have cardboard you can wrap them with cling wrap.
