Stencil Writing?

I love the font used on this cake. Does anyone know how this was done? Stencils, icing, fondant? Or a combination? Adorable!

FYI/ heads up

Search for info on here for tappits. There is a "touch" to using them easily. They are a PITA until you see how it works for you. There is a "sweet spot" where they work great (fondant/ gumpaste not too soft, maybe a bit dry, etc.)

I love tappits but I am one of the very few that doesn't seem to have a problem getting them to work properly.  I roll my fondant or gum paste out thin then let it set for 5 minutes to dry a bit.  I have found that works much better than trying to cut after it is rolled.
