Has anyone else ever had that unfortunate experience where you find a recipe that you really like, but then you fail to write down where you found it? Seems to happen to me all the time. One such recipe I've lost was for a good, no-roll sugar cookie. I found a recipe that was perfect about 4-5 months ago, and my son (who LOVES sugar cookies) decided it was the best cookie I'd ever made. Thus, it's sort of an issue that I can't find the recipe to make it again. :-(
So, I'm turning to the experts for help: Does anyone have a great, no-roll sugar cookie recipe they'd care to share? The qualities I'm looking for, specifically, are: 1) doesn't spread, 2) doesn't need to be chilled, 3) no rolling, obviously, 4) bakes into a thick cookie, with a soft texture (almost more like a cake than a cookie, but still with a nice, firm/crisp exterior).
