Hi everyone,

New to this. I am wondering how easy it would be to make an anchor out of rice crispy mix? I cannot find a cake pan in the shape of an anchor and it just hit me that I could do one out of rice crispy. Having never done it before i was after some advice on how to go about it?

A friend asked me to make her son's Anchors Aweigh party cake for this coming Wednesday!! EEkkkkk! Lol

Any help or advise would be welcomed!

I work with rkt all the time (kids love it). Make your batch a little more firm than usual (to hold its shape).  Mold your anchor, place in freezer to set (about 5 min), remove and coat in melted chocolate. (I usually add a bit of shortening into chocolate for easier coating). I coat 1 side, set in freezer for a few minutes, coat the other side, set in freezer...  sometimes you may need to shave off a bit of chocolate to smoothe it.  Then it's ready to fondant or buttercream.  i did my Jason mask in this exact way (in my pics). Hope this helps
