I am making a wedding cake and the bride has asked for 4 tiers of real cake, 2 chocolate and 2 vanilla.  Most of my go -to recipes are either moist if small but am afraid to layer and stack or large heavy and are a little dry.  Can someone please suggest a couple of recipes to help this at home non-professional Canadian baker - please.  Thanks

If you go to the Martha Stewart site, look up her Neapolitan Wedding Cake from 2006.  There are white and chocolate layers and they work well for a stacked cake. I am in Ottawa, Canada.

Pillsbury or Betty Crocker cake mixes.  I've used them for years for my wedding cakes and they're great and I always get good compliments.  The dowels in a tier are what actually holds up the upper tier, not the cake.
