hello everyone! this is my first post on here!

I need help with fondant decorations. I'm making cupcakes for my anniversary party and my colors are black and hot pink.  I have the wilton boxed black and white fondant, and wilton rose coloring. I was going to make every 10 cupcakes different so I wanted to use the black only for the wilton jewel silicone mould since I know I can stain people's mouths!!!! long story short can I make the little black jewels now? (April 28) for decorating on may 22nd? I would like the black jewels crunchy.

also can I have a vanilla pipable frosting recepie for the hot pink frosting?

can't thank u all enough!

yes you can make the jewels now -- i like them crunchy too :)

as for an icing recipe -- if you mean for an american buttercream using powdered sugar how about:

  • 1 cup fat (like butter)
  • 1 1/2 cup liquid (like cream or buttermilk)
  • 2# well sifted powdered sugar (preferably dominos)
  • 2 teaspoons* of flavoring  (pure vanilla or vanilla paste)

mix well -- if you whip it you will have to work out the air bubbles

*if a little is good a lot is better :)

best to you
