I was asked to make a birthday cake like this party invitation.  This is for a future barter/trade, so I don't need to outdo myself, but I do want it to be special :-)  I don't think I need to do 3-D, but I'd like to add some dimension.  The artwork is so cute and simple, but I don't want the cake to look amateurish...

Thoughts and feelings? Suggestions? Warnings?
