Hello. I've searched the forum but haven't come across my question. Please forgive me if I've missed it somehow.

I am having a bit of a brain fart. I'm baking a cake for mid April. I have sour cream that expires April 7. If I bake now and freeze - it would still be alright to eat mid April?

Thanks.

yes it's ok to freeze the cake now and eat it later -- the freezing holds it all -- but actually once it's in the cake it becomes the cake and then it's not on the same time constraints -- good question

and good on you for being careful!

Thank you, K8memphis! I figured as much - and probably have it written in my old culinary school books somewhere - but my brain just wasn't working today! lol
