Cakedecor, Thank You for sharing the site. The simplicity of the cakes make them beautiful.

Im a big fan of May Clee-Cadman's work. I just LOVE her cakes. When i saw one on the other website, i thought, "oh they've done a great job on it" , but then there was more and more, and i realised they were her actual cakes.

Theresa
They belong to May Clee-Cadman.
This lady has had her cakes "borrowed" on more than one occasion.

Thanks for clearing that up for me, Nati. I did not read through the entire website, did you notice if the "copycat" gave any acknowledgement to the owner of the designs for inspiring her work?

Theresa
These are actual pictures straight out of May's website, not copied cakes, but copied photos.

The website doesnt have much information at all actually. The galleries dont claim to be cakes made by them either though, it just says "Galleries" and that's it.

Thank you, Fran. I was trying to think up the right words to use, which would not stir up a hornet's nest. I can recall a few months ago, several members practically grabbed their torches and pitchforks against that lady who copied some member photos from CC and used them on her site, but so far, you are the only one complaining. I commend your courage.

I love both websites... icon_smile.gif
The cakes are very ELEGANT, pleasant looking, beautiful, sophisticated and very well presented. Very professionally made.. IMHO...They do not look disturbing, weird or sickening..
Thank you very much for sharing such pretty websites.. thumbs_up.gifso whose photos are these then ? Should we call CSI or the FBI ?? I still think these cakes are worth looking. They are not bloody and gory looking..

Excellent website! Thanks for sharing it with us! Very inspiring!

Edited Addition: After reading all the way through the forum notes, it would be a total bummer if someone is using someone else's cakes on their website. That happened awhile ago and it wasn't pretty.

Course, my cakes never end up on anyone's website. Hmmm..... icon_confused.gif LOL!!!!

Do you think JacquesPastries and MaiseFantaise should be told about this other website using their photos?

I would be LIVID if I found out that someone was using my photos.

The Gallery doesn't claim them, but the "Who are we" (quienes somos?) does say " We are the ones that elaborate, carefully, the wedding cakes, and made them delicius..."
I guess they are trying to get some credit of those cakes trying to be carefull. icon_confused.gif

How sad! This seems to be happening more & more. They are beautiful cakes. Thanks for sharing the web sites. What happens if a customer asks the pirate to make a cake exactly like the picture? Do you all think they are capable or what?
