Hi everyone!

I am making a Cowboy Hat ( Akubra) for my Sisters 21st at the beginning of may.

It will be lifesize. The brim will be made of fondant. Im just wondering If anyone has any suggestions on how to prevent cracking of the brim and how far in advance can i make it?

The other question i have is how far in advance can i make mudcake and freeze it for before carving and decorating?

I have two cakes a week apart, both quite difficult so im hoping i can start sooner rather than later!

thanks

Thanks. I have actually seen that and its what i plan to follow. My concern is that It will crack as it dries.
