Hi all!

I was wondering which is the best brand of chocolate available for a reasonable price that could be used for Chocolate-covered Oreos/Pretzels/Rice krispie treats, strawberries etc?

Since the taste of these treats depends on the chocolate used, I wanted something that tastes great.

I know some who use Almond Bark from Walmart, but I thought it did not taste good. Any tips? TIA!

AI use pate a glacer by Cocoa Barry. I think it's available on Amazon, usually around $45-50 for an 11 lb bucket. It's great for strawberries. You could search around, might be a better price somewhere else. I get it through a purveyor at the restaurant where I work.

Thanks! So that comes out to about $4.50/lb? Any other suggestions for something more economical and great tasting please?

For chocolate covered oreos I use mint flavored chocolate (like Andes).  The cookies taste like the girl scout mints.  People love them and I just use the mint chocolate from the grocery store so it's fast and easy.
