I just bought a 5lb box of krusteaz professional yellow cake mix add water only. Last year i bought of box to the white cake mix by krusteaz and made one batch following the box directions without any additions and it had a little eggy taste to it. I am wondering sense it is add water only could it be used for the wasc and would you just leave the eggs out and all the other ingredients called for in the wasc recipe. If some one uses add water only cake mix and makes the wasc with it  could you share the recipe you use.

Hello Vmanbakes,

I've been looking for the same answer or advice.  I purchase bulk cake mix too and have used just as I normally would for a wasc cake recipe. So far the results have been the same as a store bought cake mix. I use 3 1/4 cups of mix.
