Hi, all.

I've begun to sell a few cakes out of my home to people in my small town and I have been encouraged to go full time with it. Right now I am not a licensed business/kitchen. Do I need to be licensed in order to sell cakes from my home? Is what I am doing illegal? And what about selling cakes with logos/Disney pictures, etc. Could I get sued if I do that? I'm in Canada if that makes any difference. Thanks!

you have to check with your local authorities as to your legality -- and yes disney is pretty vigilant and unforgiving about their copyrights so for me i just avoided all of them except i did one for my kid's birthday as i recall -- but i didn't post it on my web page when i had one --

but even as a pro in different shops almost everybody did or still does disney but yes they do bite -- kind of dangerous to your business' well being --

best to you
