AHi all! I was wondering if you could recommend a true gold luster dust? I used to use one called golden ring( it was fab), but i can no longer find it. I'm looking for one that will hopefully have that true gold colour and shine for those sequin cakes that are all the rage right now! Thanks!

If an entire tier/cake is going to be covered, making it fairly impossible to insure that the gold WON'T be eaten, then using an edible gold [not a non-toxic/inedible color/highlighter] is the best choice.

I see that you're in Canada and I'm not certain what you can find there--or who regularly ships from the US to Canada, but here are 2 options.  The Sugar Art offers 4 gold colors that are edible.  Global Sugar Art has a mixture of products, but many of them are edible.
