Cake Tier Sizes

A6/8/12?

It is a 6/8/12. 

 

"Most" cakes are around 4 inches tall. 

 

So if you look at the cake, with that in mind, the middle cake width, looks to be double the height, so that makes it an 8 inch.  Does that make sense?  Now look at the top cake, it is a little wider than it is tall.  Okay that leaves the bottom tier.  It looks to be 2 times the top cake.

 

When I went to art school, I found breaking down proportions to be really helpful as I do a lot of sculpting.   Sorry if this sounds too basic, I hope it helps!
