AMy niece is getting married November 2015. Of course she wants me to make her cake. She wants Gringott's Bank from Harry Potter. Just curious...... Has anyone ever made this? Does anyone have any suggestions?

AOMG!! I love your niece already! She rocks!! I have never made a Harry Potter cake before and would be making one for my daughter. For sure you will do a lot of carving for that design. Maybe a little airbrushing to achieve the effects of the walls (cave-ish looking). And also make miniature Goblins :) and lots of gold coins (galleons) and jewelry. Oohhh can't wait for your cake! ;)

AShe lives in Florida and her fiancé proposed in front of the bank at Harrry Potter world. It will be a lot of fun and I have plenty of time to plan.

Here's a picture of a Gringotts coin bank, it's dumbed down, but it may be a good place to start sine the bank is overwhelming to look at. http://dodgycupcake.wordpress.com/category/uncategorized/page/11/

and FL is awesome btw, just plan for our humidity (how I hate that part of FL).

Please post pictures when it's done! I bet it will be awesome!
