Need Help: Wrong Flavor Of Buttercream
Decorating By guinever26 Updated 23 Aug 2014 , 1:20pm by vldutoit
AI have a cake that will be pick up tonight. It's 445am here and I just found out that I have the wrong flavor of buttercream.I don't have enough time to redo the cake.
What do you do? Do you compensate (by how much)? Will it be free? Any suggestions will help.
Please help. I will call my client later. Thanks!
Hi Guinever26, the first thing, I do, is call the customer and tell them, what I did.
Once I put the wrong filling in a cake and the customer said, No big deal, don't worry about it. It is their cake and they need to know, sooner than later.
Good luck! And be prepared to leave a message, if they don't answer. "I am sorry, I screwed up!", goes a long way!!!!
AI Agee with the above poster and would also offer a discount of some sort. On this order not a future one, I am not a fan of future discounts due to errors or mistakes. Before you call have a dollar amount in mind you feel is fair and tell her I messed up this is the flavor, if you are ok with it I will only charge you "x" instead of "y".
