Ladies (and Gents),

Here is a cake that I've been asked to make.  What do you suppose the butterflies are?  Plastic, sugar, fondant....????

 

Also, she wants the cake to be made with buttercream, not fondant.  How do you attach a butterfly/flower to buttercream to be sure it'll stay.

AJust Google butterfly plunger cutters, you'll find them. Thin gumpaste, make a few days ahead of time, stick em on wwith blob of buttercream if you use that crusting stuff, if you use a meringue bc, just stick them on, they'll hold on their own.
