I have discovered one of the best fillings for my cakes! Lotus Biscoff Spread AKA Cookie Butter!
I made a cake this weekend for the family- Dark Chocolate Cake with Cookie Butter filling and SMBC....Awesome! The texture is finely crunchy and mixed with some SMBC for the filling it was excellent.
Please share this...I just read your post and I am STARVING...it sounds so blasted DELICIOUS. :)
My sister in law loves that stuff - I'll have to make a cake with that as the filling at Thanksgiving or Christmas! Great idea!
AIt's great as a filling, mixed with plain BC, with banana cake and browned butter buttercream or just even cream cheese BC! Mine (same brand) was not crunchy though. I must look for the crunchy kind.....
Definitely- I pulled out some banana cupcakes from the freezer that I had made over the weekend, and filled them with cookie butter and topped with caramel SMBC-YUM!
