We like that it is close to main cities but far enough away not to be big city crowded.  Drought is affecting the lake right now and with the heat, its a bit green. :)

I find those posters easy to read, but I think maybe I'm a ringer at this because I have so much practice at reading the weird writing of 1st graders with random letters in words they don't know how to spell.

I can easily read upside down as well.  I thought everyone could do this until I was across my doctor during a consultation and started responding and asking questions about my chart in front of him and he seemed surprised that I could read as easily upside down as right side up.  Again, thank you first graders who read to me holding their books towards them and away from me

I also think text messaging helps us read inaccurately written messages.

Has anyone read messages that only contain consonants and no vowels?

Yes I learnt to write upside down too, when I was teaching at university!

I think that's how shorthand used to be done by secretaries, they mostly used consonants to record words, to be typed on a typewriter later....
