Hello. This is my 1st post on this forum. I'd like to introduce myself. My names Michael and I live in MN. I just recently came across this site and got inspired to make our daughters 1st birthday cake in 3 weeks.
I'm looking for some help with a frosting recipe.
Something very basic. Nothing fancy flavored.
I have minimal experience with baking. But love it. Its the cleanup I hate :p
I'm planning to make an 8" round 2 tier cake ( chocolate ).
But not sure what to do with the frosting. In the past the frosting recipes Ive tried came from my Grandmas old vol 1 version 1 Betty Crocker cookbook. And I have not had much success with them.
Can anyone help my out.
How about a simle basic recipe for a filling between the 2 tiers.
I've read a handful of buttercram frosting rcipes on the recipe page. What do you think?
Also I does anyone have experience with a edibale screened image sheet on a cake.
I'd like to place 1 of these on her cake
