I have seen other threads on the burlap on wedding cakes, to which no one likes. BUT...this is what the bride wants, so I am trying to accommodate.
I have found a burlap ribbon that has a wired edge, and it's already stiff, so there's no fraying and not many fibers.
My question is...What can I put on the back of the ribbon (plastic, tape, etc) to keep the icing from coming off the cake when the decoration is removed?
