Hello to all, I will be making a Topsy Turvy cake for my daughters 2nd. b-day this Sunday. It will be 3 tier cake. So, How tall should each tier be, before I cut one side off to make it T T? Another question is: how steep should it be? For example: if I make it 5" tall should I cut it to make 3", 2.5" tall on other side?

Thank you.

AI made a topsy turvy cake for a friend's baby shower cake a year ago. I bake 2" tall tiers. I cut the tier so the one side was 2" tall and the other side was 1.25" tall. I used 3 layers in each cake, so the cake was 6" tall on one side and 3.75" on the other side.

I followed the advice given on Sharon Zambito's DVD. I know you don't have time to order the DVD for this cake, but I think she now has an option for download. You might want to check it out.

Thank you cai0311 I will look into that. There is many tutorials on youtube, and many pictures here, but it is hard to tell how tall tiers are.
