Try silk flowers.....I needed a large orchid and couldn't order a cutter in time....so went to the local JoAnn's and bought a silk orchid....took one apart and created a template using regular copy paper. I also used a copier to size down the template and created a smaller sized orchid....I later laminated the templates because they worked so well.....Also, the silk orchid gave me a basis for color and texture to create on the gumpaste.......good luck!
