AHello! I'm new to this site and also fairly new to baking. I've been asked to make a hair blow dryer cake for a friend. She wants it to look like a hair dryer rather than a flat cut of the shape cake. The problem I'm getting stuck with is creating and carving the cake into that rounded look of the dryer. What would you suggest I do? Thanks in advance!

AHi Izzy703!

I would do the rounded parts of the dryer (air tube and handle) as a rolled cake, you know like when you make a Log cake. For the head of the drier, either a round cake or a semi-ball shape.

Details you can make with Fondant :)

I hope it sparks some ideas!
