AI'm making a 4 layer 3D Snowman Cake for Saturday afternoon. The layers are currently frozen, unfrosted. I'd like to fill, crumb coat, frost, and decorate (with buttercream, fondant scarf, and gum paste nose) Friday. Do I refrigerate the decorated cake until Saturday afternoon? Does it need to be covered somehow in the fridge? It's pretty large (at least 12" high with filling).

AI would fill and frost the cake and then refrigerate it until the buttercream hardens. Once that happens I would saran wrap it and keep it overnight in the fridge. I would add the nose and scarf once you take it out Saturday. Good luck to you!
