I am making a 3 tier buttermilk cake each with 4 layers. (14(square), 10(round), 8(round)) How do I adjust a recipe for each size pan? The recipe I have yields a 3 layer 8 inch cake.

I meant to say 12 (square) not 14

Ahttp://www.wilton.com/cakes/making-cakes/baking-wedding-cake-2-inch-pans.cfm This tells how many cups of batter per pan. Multiply by how many layers. Add up the tiers.

You need to know the number of cups your recipe yields. Then figure how many batches will add up to the total cups you need.
