Two days ago I had an edible image printed at my local cake supply shop. I took it from the envelope they put it in tonight and it is very brittle and not attached to the paper backing anymore. Does anyone know if there is a way to soften it again so that I can cut out the part of the image I need?

Thank you!

Oh boy, I don't know.  What about placing a slightly damp piece of paper toweling inside the bag over night and see if some of the moisture transfers to the image.  I would make sure and place the damp towel inside the bag first, then cover it over with saran wrap then put the image and paper backing in next and shut the bag securely.  Let us know if you try it and how it came out.  We both may have discovered something new.

That might work, I am going to try it with a small piece of the image that I won't need for the cake and see how it goes. I will report back with the results. Thanks for the suggestion!
