Hi All! Can anyone tell me if they have used/made dragon beard candy for cake decorating? I am planning a sculpted 3D Lady Gaga Cake and the dragons beard candy looks like it would make great hair! I've never used this candy method before. Does anyone know how to go about attaching it to the cake? Does it stay soft/loose or does it eventually harden? Any info is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

AI've seen it before and it would look good but would probably be really brittle when it cools off. I just spent an annnoying hour trying to attach poured isomalt to fondant, so I don't know that I 'd use it for something where it had to have a really specific shape and placement.
