AHello everyone, I am wondering if anyone has an idea of how to achieve this texture? I don't think it is a rolling mat as it is quite random... It is a maggie austin cake and she uses it throughout her collection. Any ideas would be great!

Thanks

It just looks like something crumpled up (like tinfoil) pressed into the fondant before it's put on the cake. But those are probably dummies, and she might have pressed the texture in after they were covered, which would make it easier to get the little ridges vertical like that. The ones that are used throughout the photos are probably the same ones used over and over, so I assume they're dummies. She did that with the first ruffle cakes, they were the same dummies in different configurations, which is a heck of a lot easier than covering all of those tiers in ruffles multiple times.
