I have a potential cake order that has me somewhat stumped...  There are 5 women, known as The Quints, who met their freshman year of college and have been super close for the last 20 years.  One of the friends is requesting a cake that somehow follows their friendship & individual growth for the last 20 years - two tiers and open to design suggestions.  Any ideas?

TIA!

Maybe the first tier could be what it was like when they first met.  Have it reflect the kind of girls they were then.  Music boys sunbathing inside jokes ect.  Then have the top tier represent who they are now.  Maybe wine and dinner kids, shoes.  That is sure a tough cake to design though!

What I said flippantly on the "Things NOT to ask/say" thread may be of some use here: include an edible photo-montage of the 5 women and their shared history.

Might be useful to make both tiers hexagon's - this way each of the sides provides a square  -   looking a lot like a photo frame.

AIt fits. Plenty of room to spare, too. I promise. A 6" hex is small.
