AI recommend the following book, it has some excellent recipes: http://www.amazon.com/dp/1569242739/?tag=cakecentral-20

The recipes in the book linked above are also egg-free, but if the only restriction is dairy then you would be able to use eggs. If the restriction is due to an allergy you need to follow procedures to avoid cross-contamination and make sure your ingredient suppliers do the same.

Not the icing, but these pumpkin cupcakes are dairy free and I assure you they taste simply amazing! And in season too!

AFor that cream cheese frosting you could probably sub the butter for vegan margarine (Earth Balance is the brand we use) and use vegan cream cheese (Tofutti).

AMy daughter is very allergic to dairy. Some box cake mixes are dairy free. You just have to read the ingredients. I use wilton buttercream recipe, just sub for butter, and use butter flavoring.

Not sure on a frosting though, but its rich enough you could prob just dust with PS and serve, rustic-like :)

I do many of my cakes and frostings vegan. I LOVE Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World...I have the book but the recipes are all over the internet. Also, just google vegan cakes and vegan frosting...there are TONS of recipes.
