AI just made these Gumpaste Lily Flowers but I'm not sure what to do about the center on a wire... Am I supposed to have the center on a wire & already dry or is it okay to make it after? Do I leave the flowers out to dry without the center?

AWhen using wires you tend to do the centre first, leave to dry then add the flower/petals. Flowers don't have to be wired though.

those are not lilies. if you Google gerbera you will see the centre they should have. I normally don't do those on wires, as the petals are so thin and they break easily. If you do want them wired though, the best is to start with the centre on a wire, let it dry and then build the petals around it.

your flowers can be used without wires on the side of a cake though, so don't think you have wasted your time. :)

Both of these tutorial are for wired ones but you can do it without the wire.
