AI have no idea why, but the last 2 times I have make a pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting, the frosting bubbles up off the cake and sort of melts off. Of course this has happened only on wedding cakes! My cupcakes, sheet cakes, etc all come out fine. Any other flavor cake with cream cheese frosting is fine too. What am I doing wrong? What can I do to prevent this again?

It may be the pumpkin cake that has to do something with it. Could be a number of things...moisture in the cake, grease, etc...

I think if it works fine on all your other cakes, the pumpkin is the culprit! :(
