AI have a cake due in the morning...working on it now. Don't ask...sigh! I have made a gumpaste topper, but I am afraid that it will not dry in time!! Is there anything that I can do to cheat the drying time?

AThough I haven't had cause to do it yet as I make my toppers days/weeks ahead; I have heard severally from other professional bakers that putting the topper in the oven with ONLY THE OVEN LIGHT ON; (that is; do not switch on the temperature knobs, only turn on the light bulb in the oven) rapidly speeds up the drying process. In order to ensure someone else in the house does not mistakenly turn on the oven heat while your beloved topper is in there (been known to happen, lol) you can place a sticky note over the temperature knob with the words "do not touch" boldly written. Others may be able to offer alternative suggestions. Hope this helps :)
