I'm wondering if any of you here have lobbied to your state's congress to change the cottage food laws? I'm in MS which doesn't allow a home baking business (the kitchen that you bake in must be a separate building from your home kitchen)...where to start? is it even worth it to try? Tips, advice, experiences, etc. are appreciated! Thanks!

Louisiana CFL was just passed Aug 1.   Not sure of the lady who spearheaded it...I actually think her last name is the same as mine though not related.    There are some threads about it here on CC...you may want to search and ask her.

Thanks! I googled MS cottage food laws after I posted this and just saw as of July 1, you can sell out of your house!!! (as long as you don't make more than $20,000/year)...should have googled before posting! Thanks though!
